Are there school fees?

The school fees for the 2011-12 academic year are:

5,000 birr (£200, 220 euros, US$300) per pupil



There is no hope of the children's families affording this (it is more than they would earn in a year) so Kate is seeking benefactors who will pay the school fees on behalf of each family in return for a copy of the pupil's school report, a school newsletter and a photograph of the assisted child in July, at school year-end.
